Privacy Policy
How we handle your personal data on the Kuber Trade virtual trading simulator, under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
This Privacy Policy explains how Kuber Trade (the “Company”, “we”, “us”) — as Data Fiduciary — collects, uses, shares, and protects the personal data of users (“you”, the Data Principal) of the Kuber Trade virtual trading simulator at kuber-tech.com (the “Platform”). We process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and applicable rules.
1. What we collect
- Account data you provide when registering — such as your name, email address, and mobile number.
- Usage and simulation data — your virtual trades, watchlists, in-app preferences, and activity, used to run the practice experience.
- Technical data — device type, browser, IP address, approximate location, and cookies or similar identifiers, collected automatically for security, analytics, and functionality.
- Communications — messages you send us, such as support or grievance requests.
Because the Platform is free and virtual, we do not collect real bank account numbers, card numbers, UPI credentials, demat details, or any real payment information for practice use. Please do not submit such information to the Platform.
2. Legal basis
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent and, where applicable, for legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act (such as responding to your requests and complying with law). Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time as described below.
3. How we use your data
- to create and maintain your account and provide the practice experience;
- to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Platform;
- to communicate service messages and respond to your queries and grievances;
- to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms;
- to comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. When we share data
We may share personal data with:
- Data Processors — service providers (for example, hosting, analytics, email, and customer-support tools) who process data on our instructions under appropriate safeguards;
- Legal and regulatory authorities — where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, users, or the public;
- Successors — in connection with a merger, restructuring, or transfer of business, subject to this Policy.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Platform, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect functionality.
6. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required under applicable law, after which it is deleted or anonymised. You may request deletion of your account as described below.
7. Security
We adopt reasonable security safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, or loss. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify the Data Protection Board and affected users as required by the DPDP Act.
8. Your rights as a Data Principal
Subject to the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- access a summary of the personal data we process about you and how it is processed;
- seek correction, completion, updating, or erasure of your personal data;
- withdraw consent, and nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity;
- make a grievance, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved.
To exercise these rights, contact our Grievance Officer using the details below.
9. Children
The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and above and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly process the personal data of children except in accordance with the DPDP Act. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
10. Grievance officer and contact
For any question, request, or complaint about your personal data, you can reach our Grievance Officer through the Kuber Trade app, where our current grievance contact details are published. Grievances are handled by Kuber Trade and are acknowledged within the timelines prescribed under applicable law.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be notified through the Platform where appropriate.
